Warriors Continue Winning Ways

December 2006

The U12 Warriors are undefeated at Sportplx in the fall 2006 session. More importantly than their soccer superiority, are these girls too cute or what?? Not including coach Ventura in that of course (who looks rather serious at the moment).  Coach Jackson was taking the photo otherwise we would comment on his appearance too :-)

Warriors Win League Championship

March 2005

The U10 girls Warriors continued their undefeated season sweeping through the playoffs and winning their first league championship in the U10 co-ed division at Sportplx.  The Warriors posted a 7-2 win over Sauquoit in the semi-final to set up a rematch with Poland in the final.  Poland matched the Warriors goal for goal until late in the game when the Warriors finally went ahead 3-2.  From that point on the stingy Warrior defense took over and the girls hung on for the win.  The Warriors finished the session with 10 wins, no losses and 2 ties, scoring 97 goals and allowing just 36.

Wow Kelly, that's a nice trophy! Well done Rach, here's your gloves. I'm out-a-here.
Is this really ours?? Com'on coach John, let go of the trophy!

Little "M", that trophy is almost as big as you!

The Champs, what else needs to be said? Too bad they don't look more thrilled, huh?
Sarah was our "Easter Bunny" after the big win. Perhaps that was more important than the trophy?

Warriors Undefeated in Spring Session

March 2005

The U10 Warriors had a tough end to their spring session having to play a double header the final night of the season.  To make matters worse the two teams they faced were the also unbeaten Poland Kickers with whom the Warriors were tied for first place and Game Time who were close behind the leaders.  In the first game against Poland the girls got off to a tense start allowing Poland to jump ahead 4-2. After half time the Warriors settled into their game and went on to win the game 7-5 with key goals scored by Shavon McGlynn and Monica Kelly.  The hour break between games apparently was not enough as the Warriors got off to a slow start against a determined Game Time side who jumped out to a 2-0 lead.  Again the girls regained their form scoring nine unanswered goals for a 9-2 final score.  With the last two games in the books the Warriors record is 8-0-2 and a first place finish going into the playoffs.

Warriors Finish in Second Place

The U10 Warriors girls showed their class finishing third in the regular season and making the finals in the playoffs in their first indoor session. As an all girls team playing in a co-ed division the Warriors were equally successful against other girls teams and co-ed teams. In the semi-finals the Warriors took control early and never looked back against a tough Poland team that had bettered the Warriors twice during the regular season. Winning the semi-final game put the Warriors in the finals against New Hartford's Lil' Kickers. The Warriors held tough but it was the Kicker's day in the end with the Warriors ending up as runners-up. All things considered it was a very successful first session for the Warriors and this is just the beginning.
