Galaxy Third at Fulton

August 2002

In their last tournament together the Galaxy U12 girls played in a tough U12 division. Winning their first game 2-0 the Galaxy faced eventual tournament runner up FLS Lady Fire in the second game. In one of their toughest games of the summer the Galaxy fought hard, but ended up with a 2-1 loss. Sunday morning saw Galaxy squared off against the tournament champion Blue Devils. After going behind 2-0 the Galaxy battled back to 2-1 with minutes left but couldn't get the equalizer. That set up a semi-final match against the FLS Lady Fire and an ultimate third place finish.

Galaxy Champions at Camden

July 2002

The Galaxy U12 girls played in a combined U12-U14 division. They went 1-2 on the day but that was good enough to win First Place in the U12 Division and third place overall.

Galaxy Champions at Wilson

July 2002

The Galaxy U12 girls came away with a well deserved championship in their first appearance at Wilson. The Galaxy's tight defense and exceptional goal keeping allowed only two goals in four games while the relentless attack struck fifteen times. The U12 girls went undefeated winning 8-1 and 4-0 in pool play. They followed up with a 2-1 win in the semi-finals and a 1-0 nail biter in the final against the Ken-Ton Sparks.

The Galaxy are: Bianca Cacciotto, Abbey DePaul, Kaitlyn Fahey, Erica Foley, Stacy Jackson, Samantha Kogut, Kaleigh McKinney,Maureen Moulton, Karrie-Anne Panara, Jenna Quattrini, Brenna Ricci, Stephanie Strzepek (Goal Keeper), Julianna VanMeter, Katie-Lynn Wall, Sara Waters, Jackie Welsh and Carley Young. The team is coached by Fred Moulton, John Jackson and John Strzepek.
